Materials:
– I love this yarn Sport weight yarn in colors: Cream and Brown
-Premier Basix DK in colors Light Brown, Mocha
– 2.25 mm crochet hook
– 9 mm safety eyes
– Fiberfill stuffing
– Tapestry needle
– Scissors
– Blush (make up)
Abbreviations:
ch: chain
sc: single crochet
st/sts: stitch or stitches
sc2tog: (sc 2 stitches together)
Head:
With B/2.25 mm hook and yarn color of your choice
Rnd 1: Make a Magic Ring and put 6 sc in ring or ch 2, and make 6 sc in second ch from hook. (6 sts)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12 sts)
Rnd 3: *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st* repeat from * around. (18 sts)
Rnd 4: *sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st* repeat from * around. (24 sts)
Rnd 5: *sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st* repeat from * around. (30 sts)
Rds 6-9: sc in each st around. (30 sts)
Insert the safety eyes between rounds 7 and 8, about 5 sts apart.
Rnd 10: *sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog* repeat from * around. (24 sts)
Rnd 11: *sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog* repeat from * around. (18 sts)
Start stuffing the head.
Rnd 12: *sc in next st, sc2tog* repeat from * around. (12 sts)
Rnd 13: sc2tog around. (6 sts)
Leaving a yarn tail for closing the hole, use your tapestry needle and weave yarn through the remaining stitches, pull to close the hole.
Ears (make 2):
Rnd 1: Make a Magic Ring and put 5 sc in ring or ch 2, and make 5 sc in second ch from hook. (5 sts)
Ch 1, turn.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around. (10 sts)
Cut the yarn and fasten off, leaving a yarn tail for sewing ears on head.
Body:
With B/2.25 mm hook and yarn color of your choice.
Rnd 1: Make a Magic Ring and put 6 sc in ring or ch 2, and make 6 sc in second ch from hook. (6 sts)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12 sts)
Rnd 3: *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st* repeat from * around. (18 sts)
Rnds: 4-7: sc in each st around. (18 sts)
Rnd 8: sc,in next st, sc2tog. (12 sts)
Start stuffing the body.
Rnd 9: sc2tog around. (6 sts)
Cut the yarn and fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Arms (make 2):
With B/2.25 mm hook and yarn color of your choice.
Make a magic ring.
Rnd 1: 5 sc in the ring. (5 sts)
Rnds 2-7: sc in each st around. (5 sts)
Cut the yarn and fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Legs (make 2):
With B/2.25 mm hook and yarn color of your choice.
Make a magic ring.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in the ring. (6 sts)
Rnds 2-6: sc in each st around. (6 sts)
Cut the yarn and fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Nose:
With a needle and Mocha yarn.
Embroider a nose.
Cut the yarn and fasten off.
Assembly:
Sew the ears to the top of the head.
Sew the arms to the sides of the body, at round 3.
Sew the legs to the bottom of the body, at round 1.
Sew the head to the body, making sure it is centered and aligned.
Weave in all the ends and trim any excess yarn.
Embroider Eyebrows.
I added a little blush on the cheeks and the tummy. (This is totally optional)
